Flanders Remembered

In September 2014, the annual ‘Wing’ visit to the Great War battlefields in France and Belgium took place.

Over 80 Cadets and Staff from many of the Squadrons in No1 Wing ( S.Wales) visited the battlefields and Cemetaries, to discover for themselves the horror and waste of the Western Front.

The tour included visits to:

  • Lochmagor Cratter (Somme)
  • Vimy Ridge (Somme)
  • Vimy Ridge Memorial (Somme)
  • Ypres
  • Menin Gate Parade (Ypres)
  • Hoodge Crater (Ypres)

The gallery below shows photos taken during the visit. Continue reading “Flanders Remembered”
