Every Air Cadet Squadron has a proud history, and we are no different.

372 (Barry) Squadron was formed on 12th February 1941, days after the Air Training Corps was established by Royal Warrant by King George VI.

By Warrant dated 5th February 1941, was pleased

to make provision for the establishment and organisation

of a corps to be entitled the AIR TRAINING CORPS.

By a Warrant dated 9th August 1968,

HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II

Provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in the

Earlier warrants, the regulations in the Schedule shall be regulations, governing the AIR TRAINING CORPS and shall be the sole and standing authority on the matters which they treat. In pursuance of Regulations 3 and 7 of the schedule to the said Warrant dated 9th August 1968, the DEFENCE COUNCIL has provided that the formation of units of the AIR TRAINING CORPS shall be subject to approval by the AIR FORCE BOARD.

THEREFORE the AIR FORCE BOARD hereby

Certify that: NO. 372 (BARRY) Squadron

Was formed as a unit of the AIR TRAINING CORPS on:

12th February 1941
